Harry Potter

Say what you want, and think what you will... But even if the books, the characters, and even the movies are (in your opinion) the stupidest things EVER; well, get over it! I used to hate all of it. Everywhere, it was Harry this, Potter that. Then I heard they were gonna make a movie, and I was like, "ENOUGH ALREADY!" Then, as if it couldn't get any worse, I'm out with some friends one night, and we decide to see a movie. Wouldn't you know it, they wanna see Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone! I give in... I figured, "Hey, I can sit through this. Why not, it's only a movie." As of now, let's just say I can see exactly why everyone loves the books so much! The movies are fun, but the books have been enthralling, and now we finally have Year V, the Order of the Phoenix! This is a wonderfully imaginative series of books... I'm practically addicted!

Harry Potter & the Sorcerer's Stone
Year I. AKA Harry Potter & the Philosopher's Stone in the UK & the rest of Europe.
Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets
Year II. Fawkes is awesome, and the foreshadowing in this book is absolutely mouth-watering with anticipation about things to come.
Harry Potter & the Prisoner of Azkaban
Year III. Currently my favorite in the series! With characters like Professor Remus Lupin (<~~my favorite) & Sirius Black, as well as some pivitol plot turns, this is an amazing book! Plus, all of our returning characters take on even more deapth! It refreshing to know that some things just keep getting better & better! Oh, and Gryffindor finally wins the Hogwarts Quidditch Cup!
(I know...
...I'm a nerd!)
Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire
Year IV. This would have to be the most detail oriented book so far, and I love it. Each book keeps becoming larger, darker & more complex. Mad-Eye moody is a great character! The ending is really hard to handle if you still think you're only reading a kids book. THESE ARE NOT SIMPLY KIDS BOOKS, BY ANY MEANS!
Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix
Year V. As far as range goes, this book has some of the funniest, as well as some of the most heart wrenching moments we've seen so far. Lupin, Moody & Sirius all take on a whole new deapth, and we meet awesome new characters like Kingsley, Tonks, 'looney' Luna, as well as the despicable Professor Umbridge (J.K.Rowling really outdid herself making Umbridge so fun to hate! OMG, Neville is now one of my favorite characters! Professor McGonagall, well she's always been a fave of mine, but this book only makes her even greater! The thestrals, SO COOL! And needless to say, our Hogwarts trio (Harry, Ron & Hermoine) are always amazing! Bout' the only thing I had to complain about was the lack of Quidditch, but that's more of a personal thing, heh heh...Go J.K.R.!
